The best method for disruption of microbial cells (1mg - 80g wet weight) and small tissue samples (0.1- 400 milligram). When using PCR techniques, this homogenization method maximizes nucleic acid extraction yields and insures "zero" cross-contamination between multiple samples. For tissue disruption in the 0.5 to 50 g (wet weight) range. Very fast and does not generate heat. Not recommended for monocellular material such as bacteria or yeast. Also excellent for making oil-water emulsions
A traditional method for homogenizing microorganisms and soft tissue. Our Sonozap is unique in its ability to handle very small samples in volumes of 0.3-5 ml of extraction media. Heat formation must be aggressively controlled when sonicating small samples.
