Our new small chambers now have stainless steel bushing units. These new chambers are superior to the old plastic style units. By using stainless steel instead of plastic, practically all sample leakage is eliminated.
These chambers have working volumes (i.e., cells plus buffer) of 15 or 50 ml. The chambers are made of stainless steel, polycarbonate, and polypropylene plastic and can be autoclaved, if desired.
The small chambers fit inside the standard 350 ml BeadBeater polycarbonate chamber. The latter may be filled with crushed ice and water and to help keep the sample cool.
