Silicon-Carbide Sharp Particles

Plant and animal tissue may be disrupted more quickly with sharp-edged particles than with spherical beads.  The sharp, hard edges of irregular particles impart a knife-like cutting action during high-energy shaking in Mini-Beadbeater vials.  Specifically, they may perform better than beads when beadbeating tough tissue.  For softer tissues, round beads are preferred.  Sharp particle beads are dusty.  Wash with lab detergent before first use.

NOTE: While Silicon-Carbide Sharp Particles are routinely used with all of our MiniBeadbeater models, they should never be used with our BeadBeater, model 1107900.
