Description
BioSpec Product's silicone-rubber stoppers are specifically designed for use with our 2 ml stainless steel microvials. They are essential when beadbeating tough tough tissue in stainless steel 2 ml microvials containing steel beads.
Due to the very high shaking energy of our Mini-BeadBeater series of cell disrupters, the dense steel beads can crack or penetrate the standard polyethylene flange caps supplied with our stainless steel vials.
Silicone rubber caps are also essential when "dry" grinding tissue samples at liquid nitrogen temperatures.
Silicone rubber stoppers can be used repetitively. Clean and sterilize them using standard procedures.
